These chics are all different in regards to their style. From Kelis being "Hip Hop over the Top"to Kerry Washington bringing the "Classic Old Hollywood" to Rihanna introducing us to "Fashion Domanitrix". I love ALL of their styles. Style Force to Be Reckoned With.....

I have never been so excited to watch a reality show in my life. Yesterday, while combating a little boredom, I flipped through the channels and came up on Glam God with Vivica A. Fox. I had seen commercials and heard the internet buzz and decided to give yet another reality show a chance. Glam God is THE reality/competition show for hungry stylists who crave to style celebrities and give them that red carpet look. It was so fun to watch. I might add a learned a bit. It comes on tonight so all you stylists out there tune in to VH1 9/8 c and see if they have anything on you.
Let me know if you have any favorites!
Here's the extended trailer for you to get a sneak peek...

Fun with Fashion

Hello Kitty Diamond ring by Kimora Lee Simmons
Lately, I have realized that no matter how much older we get...we still want to have a little fun with fashion and accessories. We all can think of a cartoon character in which we absolutely loved. Some of us incorporated our love affair in our style. Well, Hello Kitty is my obsession and love affair and I have found that I am not alone. So many chics adore Hello Kitty that I had to post a special blog for ALL OF MY FELLOW HELLO KITTY LOVERS. I visited the Sanrio store online and found some cute items to add to the wardrobe without looking 10.

Adorable Cell Phone Charm

Gold Trinket Hello Kitty Case...You can carry your mints or even lipgloss.

High Society Living

Memphis is where I call home for NOW. It is The Birthplace of Rock & Roll. Home of Isaac Hayes. RIP. Home of Elvis. BBQ Heaven there is soooo much more. Memphis has such a rich cultural history that so many of us locals pass by all of the tourist attractions and seem to think the city has nothing to offer. Well this High Society Living feature in a tribute to music legend Isaac Hayes,

I would like to invite you to enjoy your city. This weekend take the time to learn something new and experience something new other than the same ole nightlife scene.

The Memphis Tourism Bureau's website http://www.memphistravel.com/ has a special place just for us locals. Enter the trivia contest to win a complete hometown tourist package or browse through the dining section to enjoy a nice meal in a local restaraunt. I have found during traveling visiting the local restaraunts you get an authentic feel of the food and culture in the city.

Some of my fav spots:

1. Memphis Zoo: Voted the #1 zoo in the country 1008
2. Slavehaven/Underground Railroad Museum: I didn't even know the museum existed until I moved downtown. It's such a unique experience.
3. Civil Rights Museum: Although it is one of the main attractions everyone should have visited by now some of us haven't. If you are one of those people you DEFINITELY must go.
4. Stax Museum of American Soul Music : Isaac Hayes home of recording. They actually have a special photography feature now of Ray Charles
5. Rendezvous: Memphis BBQ

Fit & Fab | Michelyn

Quick Tip
Try to keep a daily workout and intake journal. By doing this you can keep track of what you are eating and what type of workouts you are doing. It's very important to monitor your intake in order to know exactly what you have eaten each day. We live busy lives and we will not always remember our daily intake. Depending on where you are with your workout routine, writing down what you have done is very effective as well. This will help you to remember what body part you have worked and how many reps you have done. It's always best to challenge yourself; every time you go to the gym you should look at your journal and try to do more then what you did the week before. In short it's extremely hard to keep track of what you are doing unless you write it down. This will help you to stay focused and with your workouts this will help you to challenge yourself. Also, if you are interested in hiring a trainer this will definitely help him or her to identify how to better assist you with your workouts.
Hey chics,
I recently browsed through Barnes & Nobles looking for a good read & saw a great collection of journals and diaries. They have come a long way creatively. So for your new fitness tips, I found some really cute journals so you can record everything on your journey of fitness. Staying fit & fab is a must in this society now. Behind the Style | Lysa Cooper

Lysa Cooper (L)

Fashion and trends today are driven mainly by what celebritites wear and think is cool. But who is behind the style? You thought all celebrities dressed themselves...Uh no..Clearly not. Behind the style exposes those fly and creative individuals behind the looks you love. Since, I absolutely adore Rihanna's style (she's has some of her own)...I wanted to blog about Lysa Cooper today. She has helped to transform Rihanna into a style icon. One of the hottest celebrity stylists...her client list goes from Diddy, Def Jam, Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton for Guess, Beyonce, Katie Holmes and more. Take a look at her work. She's is bad!!!

Style Conciege

In preparation for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, I have been browsing through lookbooks of some of my fav fashion designers. Of course, hands down, Versace, reigns SUPREME. I took a peek at Fall Resort 2009 and was both AMAZED & INSPIRED.

Why I'm in awe:
1. The Color Palette... Fall's color palette's are normally dry and boring but in this collection the mix of bright reds and deep browns were quite genius. The color combinations made me think of a fly chic in Dubai or an collage of images from India.
2. Accessories: I am a self proclaimed Style Junkie. All of the fashion mags and blogs have reported the tribal jewelry and statement pieces as the hottest accessories to have for the fall. Versace did it well. Gold accented pieces with wood bangles...FAB CHIC!
3. Designer for the FASHIONABLE WOMAN!!! ENOUGH SAID.

THIS BLUE IS AMAZING!!!

BE INSPIRED THIS WEEK!!!

Out of Touch

So as you all know I haven't blogged in nearly a week...please thank my puppy boxer Ali. He chewed my internet card and even some of the keys off the labtop. I was so upset but when you look at his sad face you can't help but say "Alright, I know I should not have left you alone for 6 hours of course you would cry first then get destructive.

I couldn't make it to my fav coffee shop until today so here is my formal apology for staying away so long. If this helps here is a picture of my baby.... You can 't be mad at his mommy now.
I'll be back this week so come back and hang out with me.

Style Concierge

Hey Chics,
OMG it was sooooooooo hot in Memphis this weekend. 103 degrees with a heat index of 115 what is the world coming too! So I'm writing this blog in hopes of cooler temperatures and FALL FASHION. I know last week's Style Concierge was about do & dont's of leggings and I will post a new feature because legwear fashion is really trendy. For the fall the hottest look is printed hosiery from reptile print to pucci prints. Be careful though if you rock a really vibrant and colorful print keep the dress or shorts a simple neutral color i.e. khaki, black, loving brown right now.

This is a really beautiful and elegant legging pair this with a black shirt dress with ruffle details and a nice pump. Chic!!!

This is my fav...I would definitely rock this with a brown dress short or a khaki trench dress with great gold details.

Ideal legging for your fall LBD (Little Black Dress)
